Planted -Music Video with Jon Shipman

Checkout this music video for "Planted" that Powell Film Co produced for Jon Shipman. I love Jon’s passion for God and for music so I was excited to be a part.

Jon and I have talked about shooting a music video for a few years. To be honest I was so busy with our Churches TV show and traveling that it just never happened. Jon messaged me in January about making some music videos so we hopped on a call and made some plans. In February we started filming and it was a lot of fun and hard work. Then we had to wait on the mastered audio from the studio.

Powell Film Co has a decent amount of equipment, in the last year and a half, all profit has been reinvested into gear. Despite these investments, it’s challenging to replicate a 5-6 camera shoot with two cameras. That’s when I pulled on my experience, if we can’t have 5-6 camera angles then we can utilize multiple takes of the song and stitched it together in the editing software. It worked so well and allowed our film crew of two people to capture all aspects of the performance and give Jon a great video at an affordable price point.
